Anyone have experience or comments on the pros and cons of the new versions of the piston seals vs. the older ones?

I put the new version in three. I don't take them apart when cleaning. No upside down rings.

I had better results with the old two piece type.

Lots of cycling problems caused by one piece rings are immediately corrected when replaced with two piece rings. I see no advantage to using one piece rings if there's any way you can help it. Another instance of cost cutting leaving us with an inferior product.

If you can figure out how to assemble the 2 piece unit on the gas tube (DUH !!!), it will probably last forever. My "new" pressed together one piece unit has already broken a chunck off the thin skirt section. If they are interchangeable, go with the original.
