Just saw a special about the new Ithaca 37 on Outdoor channel. Seems like they have really refined the original 37 and have tolerances down to almost nothing. Also their innovative way of joining the rib to the barrel and the chamber to the monobloc without using heat seems pretty good.
Has anyone seen and/or handled the new 37? Seems like a lot of gun for the money. Their website indicates they have a trap and sporting mode. I may have to check one out if I come across one.
A friend of mine has one that has been back to the factory twice in the past year. Once for poor detonation problems and once for an ill-fitting barrel. I think they have it sorted out now.
I bought a M37 in 28 Ga. a couple of seasons back. Best little grouse and woodcock gun I've ever had. A note to BigM-Perazzi...your heart will really be still when you see the price of the new SBT!
