1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I see new guns for sale and for the life of me can't belive how much self control I DON'T have. Never fired model 12's, nib model 42's in 410, Rem 31's, etc. etc. So at the risk of sounding like an idiot, why would anyone purchase a firearm and never shoot it? I buy 'em and shoot 'em. I'm sure someone will respond "investments my boy". If you are one of these gents that have that kind of foresight please call me, I have a couple of questions...Larry Lockhart

Some people are collectors not shooters and enjoy unfired in the box guns the same as the enjoyment a shooter gets. As a collector vintage unfired guns are highly prized. Also investment. Example five years ago I bought a unfired Winchester model 61 22 magnum unfired in the box with all the paper work for $1300.00. Today these guns if you can find them bring around $3.000.00. I have 11 unfired 22 rifles in the box all collector guns not shooters. If i feel I want to shoot I have a pick of 81 others. Once you take them out of the box and fire them you loose considerable value.

I enjoy going into my 300 sq foot gun vault and just mull around looking at the works of art.Reload some ammo, have a Jaeger from my Jaeger machine, watch tv, listen to music, etc all in a dehumidified atmosphere.Just having some really nice guns to admire is awesome.Don't get me wrong I am at the range 2x a week,so I do have guns I love to shoot. Not in it for investment ,my wife will probably sell them on this site when Im not breathing air anymore!.......Don

Seems to me that owning a really beautiful, desirable gun and never shooting it would be like spending the night with a Victoria's Secret model -- and just talking!

I must admit I have/own more guns than sense, or ability to shoot well. I do let my wife know how bad the economy is and how frugal we must be.
