Bobby Rush, the co-founder of the Black Panther Party and currently a Representative from Illinois, introduced the bill. I don't think he has any credibility and the bill will probably not see the light of day.

Bobby Rush is the father of the congressman, Bobby Rush Jr. Indeed he is an ally of Obama, but it is mucho common for these organizer types (Obama-Rush Jr) to keep this gun stuff out in the open. There is no doubt thesee folks will limit guns incrementally. But hardly with grandiose sweeps of the pen. They would lose too many votes. Adn their good will is being tested as it alwasy is when a new president takes office. It is my belief tht the introduction (and in this case, re-introduction) of these bills is a way of justifying their existence to their voters. Downrange, when this stuff comes across the net it is pasted on TS numerous times. you are late to the party.

I agree wholeheartedly thatwe need to be proactive, by belonging to the NRA and in contact with our congressman and stuff like that but continual pasting of this to a forum of believers is nothing more than feel-good.
