This worm was first reported in 2006 as the Snopes report verifies. The worm has apparently resurfaced in its original form:

"You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled 'Mail Server Report'

If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying:
'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, And the person who
sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.

This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon.
AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's
are not capable of destroying it.

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'

Check the date on the snopes page, Morgan. It's two years old.

The original Snopes was posted in 2006, but scroll to the bottom of the Snopes page, Neil. You will see that the notice was updated on the 2nd of April, 2008.

Capt, If I read snopes correctly, the virus is not nearly as harmful to your computer as the warning suggests. In fact, snopes says the IT warning which is valid is erroneously tied to a hoax threat from a couple of years ago. It's not going to erase your hard drive or make your computer unusable. It's just going to send the virus back out to all your contacts.

At least that's how I understand it. Your mileage may vary.
