If a shooter is age 65 or older do you have to shoot in vet or super vet category?
Can you just decline to enter that category or are you automatically placed there?

. . . and you are a Veteran (if you want to be) until you turn 70. Then for a while, you are basically eligible for either, but then at 71 for sure you are a Senior-veteran.

If you ever happen to shoot at the Silver Dollar Club in Florida, do not and I repeat for emphasis do not declare Senior Vet. You won't have a chance.

The new Category rules are on the ATA website and apply to shoots big enough to have All American Points. The shoot management at smaller shoots can award Category trophies anyway they feel like. I anticipate confusion and mis-understanding on the part of Gun Clubs and Category shooters at least until the dust settles on this.

trapshootin hippie- At Silver Dollar there will be several AAA All American Vets and Sr. Vets. Usually, any Vet or Sr. Vet who is not a strong AA shooter will be out of luck at that club.
