Have not flown in a nuber of years. The last time was prior Sept. 11. When the wife and I use to get away for a full week I use to pack a bottle of our favorite spirts. We could enjoy a cocktail in our room. My question is are you still allowed to do this. Please advise if you know? Thanks!!

you can pack all the spirits you want.....provided that it is in your checked luggage and not in your carry on luggage. For carry on stuff, I always buy my drink(s) (e.g. water, soda) when I get through security otherwise they will make you throw out any liquids you are carrying (unless you have proof to have it for a medical reason).

Nothing more than 3 ounces of any liquid, toothpaste, mouthwash, hair gel, etc in any one container.
