Have a little experiment going. I'm trying to find out how many loadings it will take for the base wad to exit the hull. So far it has been loaded 4 times since the side split. Any guesses as to how many it will take??? Jim

You might find that the hull will become unloadable before the basewad comes loose. I don't think I'd load that hull again, or at least not fire it if you do. It's too dirty and who wants to be looked down upon for shooting dirty ammo. :) I won't mention the splits. :)

You must not be shooting it out of a K gun. You know that's the only reason they blow up.

Quack, That one's not dirty yet, You can still see the original color.

    Are you shooting black powder?

I have never seen a AA look like that after 4 reloads.

dverna, he has loaded it 4 times since it SPLIT!! Not me, never. Bad boy. Looking for some real problems, I say. If I see a split, I throw it away. Me thinks the fellow may have a screw a bit loose, and loctite will not fix it.

throw a little duct tape on that split, and it's good for another 10 loadings.....

The base wad in that particular hull may never move but some do. That is good enough reason for me to not bother with them.

You claimed knowledge that some basewads in the AAs move. Have you ever seen one firsthand and do you have some physical evidence to support that claim? I've been asking this of many people that say the AA hulls migrate. I've never seen one and everyone I've asked to substantiate that claim with REAL evidence, has not been able to. No second hand stories, just facts please.
