Did any of you guys that have tried the new 20-28 small Ga. powder find a bushing chart for it? I found load data and can go exparimental with the scale but a starting point would be nice. I plan on loading 28Ga. Win. HS hulls. 1225 FPS. Should need about 13.5 Gr. Just no data for bushings. If any of you guys have a bushing size you have used that would work also. I will check it on my scale and crony. Thanks Dave

    Dave,

A call or email to Alliant might get you headed in the right direction.

When I was Beta testing 20/28 for Alliant my unmodified C bushing threw 13.4 grains of Lot #1 and an unmodified B bushing threw 13 grains. This was in my P/W 900 and were the average of at least 50 weighed drops per load.

MEC bushing data for Alliant 20/28 powder was received from Dick Quensenberry, the Alliant rep, who was at the Virginia State Skeet Championships. He said he got it from MEC just as he was leaving the office for the match.

The one thing to remember is that Alliant gets this data using a single stage press and that the drops will be a little lighter using a progressive loader. As with the P/W data I gave it represents a place to start and you should then use a good powder measure to find what your loader/bushing/powder lot/and loading style will drop.

Could you weigh out the charge you want, then see what bushing it fills?
