The new generation of 1100's use the 11/87 extractor. The older barrels use the thinner 1100 extractor. Make sure what you have before you buy a used barrel you cannot return.

    Thankyou.
I don't need to buy any barrels. I have had them for 30 yrs.

    Take Care.

You can generally put a New 1100 barrel on an older gun, but not an old barrel on a new gun without modification. The extractor slot is larger in the new barrels and would have to be enlarged. Not all barrels will interchange and you may have some differences with the forearm fit as well.

The new 1100 forearms will not fit on an old barrel. The new barrels are tapered and the forearm will have to be opened up and refinished to accept the old barrel.
