No punches for yardage group wins unless you shoot a 96 or better. Trap and Field will have the overall HC winner and he will get a punch if there were over 14 shooters.

You don't get punched just for winning "yardage group" unless your score is high score (and all ties) for the whole event and there were over 14 entries in the event. Or if your score was 96 or higher you'll automatically get a punch regardless of the number of entries.

It's spelled out in SECTION VI (The ATA Handicap System), para E (Earned Yardage).

First of all, it is the shooters responsibility to assure they are shooting from the correct yardage. That means they either stick around until the end of the shoot to see if they got a punch or call the club later to see if they did. Furthermore, the club where the score was shot is required to send out a postcard to the shooter(s) who shot scores for a punch if those shooters cards were not physically punched before they left.

If you shot at incorrect yardage all scores shot from that yardage will be disqualified.

    It's all in the rulebook....

Why bother the president of the ATA when all you should do is contact the club where you shot.

If you shoot at incorrect yardge line and are BACK further than you should be and yardage is given (15 shooters, etc) you will be given yardage from the yardage line you shot at!!! Example: if you are 22 yard shooter and shoot reg. shoot at 23 yards and win you will get punch from 23 yards not 22 yards.

And jim e, the targets shot from the wrong yardage will be disqualified but the punch from the wrong yardage will stand. Not a great deal of difference from getting a punch from targets that you did not shoot. It is important for the shooter to take the responsibility to know his correct handicap yardage.

If only 9 shooters shot the handicap, then you would have to had shot at least a 96 to get a punch. A 96 ALWAYS gets a punch, no matter how many shooters there were. John

Pat, If a shooter wins from a closer yardage than should, (legal win) would he get a punch from his reg. yd or would it be disqualified?
