1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I need to ship a handgun to a Ffl. FedEx and ups tell me I must ship overnight to the tune of $90.00 or so. Can I ship via ground ups legally?

    Thanks

I tell folks who must ship handguns as a Private Person to get a Fed Ex account, costs nothing. Then, ship your handgun there.

You could always call your friendly dealer. He can ship USPS flat rate, and his fees and shipping might be less.

    Glen,

Best bet here is to take it to a ffl and let him send via USPS. USPS can ship via your ffl legally, whereas a non-ffl as to ship by carrier overnight because they hire thieves. The $20 transfer and few dollars for shipping via a flat rate box is way cheaper than the overnight fee.

Second Day Air for a handgun went away a few years back.

Both FedEx and UPS require Next Day Air now.

If your FFL is reasonable let him send it USPS Priority Mail.
