1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Had my 870 done by Precision Bluing and have been very happy with it. Quick turnaround time too.

I would also recommend Krieghoff in Ottsville, they do wonderful bluing.

As an alternative, I would recommend Ernest Marlette who does the finest polishing and bluing I have ever seen.

    not an easy task

    If it started out nickle

Plus the very hardened metal they use

It is going to cost more than a normal bluing and I dont think a private gunsmith will be able to handle the job

    Regards from Iowa

Call Krieghoff! Since this is a Nickle gun it needs the Nickle stripped properly.

I'm guessing your looking at around $500 since I would imagine that the gun will go back to Germany.

If you have a non Krieghoff vendor do the work I would expect Krieghoff won't stand behind the gun in the future. The plus side is a factory refurbished receiver is treated by them like a brand new gun.

Yep, krieghoff is your best bet. The action is case hardened and flash nickel plated. It will be expensive work......

K International is the only way to go with this - but $500 won't pay for half of it.
