    RHAT,

I don't think you will be able to fit 1 and 1/8 ounce of shot with a TGT12 wad in an STS hull. That wad is typically for 1 ounce loads. Were you thinking of a Figure 8 or RXP wad, or did you mean 1 ounce? I would be more than happy to share my 1 ounce recipe with PB and a TGT12 wad.

22 grains will give you approx. 1200 FPS. 21.2 in a one ounce load will give you 1250-1275. Hope this helps, by the way, PB is a great powder but expensive! That's all I use.

    RHAT,

I use 20.4 grains of PB with 1 oz of 8s, TGT12 wad in either a Remington or AA hull with a Cheddite primer. I didn't chrono that load, but I would estimate it right around 1185 to 1200. It is really light on the recoil too.

    Hope this helps.

Rich,21.5 or 22 gr.with a rxp wad and a win. primer will get you 1200 fps and around 9000 lup in the old Remington unibody hull.I can't find one for the newer sts hulls.Call the PB powder guy's and they will give you the straight skinny on the load you are looking to build.I would hate to see you enlarge the barrel on that nice Kolar..............Tony

TGT12 will not work very well in this situation although they say on the bag it will work for 1 1/8. Use the Fig 8 wad with 22.5 grns. of PB for a 1230fps load. Loads nice, recoil ok and smokes em from the 27.

You may find the following link useful for PB load/data.

    http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp

    1) Click the agree button

    2) Select Shotshell

    3) Then start selecting various configurations like gauge, lead shot, hull type, powder
