Do normal (off of the shelf) kreighoffs fit both left and right handed shooters.

Most Krieghoff trap stocks are "neutral" - that is, they are not offset and have ambidextrous palm swells. As such, they usually come close to fitting both kinds of shooters but often not close enough.

The factory adjustable comb will provide 1/4" of adjustment in either direction, which typically is enough for most people, and the actual raised comb portion of the stock is short enough to allow the stock to be shortened quite a bit without getting into the raised comb. A lot of folks can shoot factory Krieghoff stocks well but probably about as many cannot.

The new KX-6 has two base models... the right hand with palm swell and mild roll over comb for the right handed shooter... and the left hand model with the palm swell and mild roll over comb for the left handed shooter.

So there are two distinctly different models in the KX-6 line, right hand and left hand. The palm swell is NOT on both sides... therefore not ambidextrous.

The KX-6 for the right handed shooter, (I have this gun) has a very slight cast off so I would suspect that the left handed model has the same but in the opposite direction.

Krieghoff have been asked countless times for a genuine lefthand stock but have always refused to comply. However there is more than a rumour that one may be available very soon. Don't hold your breath Kameraden, it is likely to appear in the UK before America! SteveB
