Replacing, attempting to replace, u-joints in drivers rear axle 4010 Trans. You have to take most of the machine apart to get the axle out-so the service manual says - torque convertor was engineered in a really bad location. Followed all directions, monumental task in itself for me, and, well, it's a two piece axle, splines are pushed together the whole way, still cannot get it cleared of the rear-end (jug) to get it out.

Anybody been here, done that. Help appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rod

Typically, the inner cv joints simply clip into the differential assembly. To remove them, they should pry out with a large screw driver or small pry bar.
