I am looking forward to attending the Missouri Fall Handicap for my first time this year. I understand there are great water view locations to stay in the area - Please – I need good recommendations on where to stay and the actual dates of the shoot. Thanks

There is a listing of motels on the site. Tan-Tar-A is probably the nicest. You could also do a search for some cabins/condos to rent.

Tan-Tar-A has declined in recent times...I would prefer Lazy Days if you want a condo. The Lodge of 4 Seasons is nice, but a long way from the club. Hawks Nest has some lake views and is somewhat more reasonable in price and closer to the gun club. There are lots of places to stay with a lake view, but most are a 30 plus minutes drive to the club. Staying on Hwy 54 in Osage Beach is the most convenient to the gun club.

The 2008 Missouri Fall Handicap will begin on Monday, September 29th and end on Sunday, October 5th. Programs should be ready sometime during the Grand American. We will have a great program for everyone to shoot. Don Magruder, President, Missouri Trapshooters Association
