Came into posession of an early winchester model 70 today. Serial # is 781795. It is a 30-06, has a crack in the stock just behind the receiver about 3 inches long. The finish is now very dull but it does show some signs of a clear coat at one time. It has the original butt plate and grip cap. Can anyone give me any info on it such as approx. value, year of birth, or anything else you may know. Thanks, Bulge.

Sure fall into the year of 1965.

A 1965 push feeding model 70 in 95% condition normally worth $400 or so.
