Looking for some info for a friend who has a chance to buy a 34" BT-99, Model 39. I have not seen the gun but am told it has "1 of 100" engraved on it beneath the "Model 39" engraving. It has Invector Plus choke tubes as well as an adjustable comb. Excellent condition. Owner is asking $1500.

1 - Need some info regarding the "Model 39"

2 - Is price in the ball park?

    Thanks,

    Jon Reitz

Are you sure it is not number 39 of 100 made?

Possibly from a Leo special run.

If it is, $1500 is a very good price.

    Russ,

No, I'm not sure about that, but I suppose that's a good possibility. As I said, I have not seen the gun, nor do I know the serial number. Anyone else?

    Thanks,

    Jon Reitz

Jon, get with the program. There is no such animal as a BT-99 Model 39. It is very likely the #39 of a run of 100 guns that was made for the deceased Browning dealer Leo Cerar of Library PA. $1,500 is a fair price!!
