    All,
Can anyone tell me the best way to make it easier to open a new Yildiz 20 ga OU other than use and time? Can i disassemble and somehow reduce the spring pressure on the release lever to make it easier to open? It is very difficult for my young son to open his gun.
    Thanks,
    Joe

Is the lever used just to open the gun or cock the hammers and open the gun. If the lever is the cocking system, then you're stuck. If it opens the gun only see your local gunsmith.

Top lever springs should not be modified. Doing so may cause your gun to open prematurely. This is common on Brownings and Perazzis when top lever springs become weak with age and use.

Seems to be typical of this type gun.

a good smith might be able to polish some surfaces and smooth the action out a bit.

It's probably about angles on sliding surfaces and such..

    Thanks all,
I polished all of the metal contact surfaes, via some help from the shotgun forum and it is much better,
