    Hello:
My daughter asked my wife and I if we could watch her dog Toby for a couple days? My wife said ok, and we have a bedroom that now smells like a wet dog?

She let him sleep on the floor on his own blanket, but after he left, our bedroom smells. He did not wet or poop in our bedroom or house, but the smell is very noticeable.

Any tips on what I can do to correct the problem?

I can only imagine that if there were a dog forum, a thread reading "I couldn't stand Old people smell, had to leave".

Vacuum the room if you have carpet. Mop the floor if it's tile with pinesol.

Kinda like the guy that had a goat in his bedroom, when the wife asked about the bad odor, the guy said "I got used to it the goat will too."

Febreeze is good or you can pick some stuff up at Sam's called Odoban that's not a typo it's spelled that way it will cover almost any smell, one time we got a skunk in the cabana and my wife sprayed it in there and I couldn't even smell it

It's pretty cheap a gallon is about $6 and will dilute to make about 10 gallons or more

I put baking soda on the carpet and brush it in. Then I vacuumed it. I then sprayed that Febreeze on the carpet and it now smells a lot different. I got a PM from a guy who said if this doesn't work, place a bucket of charcoal in the bedroom.
    Thanks everyone,
    Steve

    Steve,

Between your wifes relatives and your daughters dog, that is telling me that
life is getting very complicated your way.

Pass the fee on, then fix the house.

If you google your problem, you'll probably find some good answers on dog forums. I'd just open the windows, vacuum, dust, and wash the bedding. An ozone generator would fix the problem.

You actually do get to where that becomes a welcomed smell. Same goes for sweating horses and their tack.

But you probably don't want to go through that break in period so some Fabreeze on the carpet and wash the bedding and dry outside.

Is there any end to the problems in your life?

Get a cat, preferably a tom, and place the litter box under your bed. That should overwhelm the dog oder.
