Gander Mountain offers new service for those looking for ammunition
Want to know the best time to buy ammunition? Sporting goods retailer Gander Mountain says the answer is as close as your e-mail.

The company, which has a store at the Millcreek Mall, last week rolled out its “Ammo Club” — an e-mail service that tells would-be customers when and what kinds of ammunition will be delivered to a local Gander Mountain store. The electronic newsletter refers you to a website, which is updated each Sunday.
For example, the e-mail newsletter sent Wednesday revealed that the normal delivery date for our store is Monday and that on July 22 the store expected to receive shipments of 9mm, 45-cabliber, 22LR, and 5.56mm ammunition. It would not be receiving 40-caliber, .380 and several other sizes.
Ammunition has been in short supply since late 2012, when there was a run on guns and ammunition in the wake of President Obama’s re-election and concerns grew there would be greater steps taken to restrict gun ownership.

Nice idea, but website is flawed for my Gander. It says scheduled delivery for new ammo is Friday for my Gander. New ammo shipments are rec'd Wednesday here, and put out overnight, for a Thursday morning feeding frenzy. They used to put it out as soon as they got it Wednesday, but people were waiting there for 4-7 hours from the time the store opened until they rec'd and put ammo out, and were getting quite upset when the ammo they wanted didn't show up after they'd been sitting there MANY MANY hours.
