I am not sure anyone in Nebraska owns a computer and I am real sure that none of those Huskers would know how to use one if they did. They still think the N on the side of their Husker helmets stand for knowledge.

Just got home and was it ever windy. I don't have any scores but the wind was playing havoc on the rock.....Kind of cool also. Saw many people walking around with jackets on.

Looked like a good turn out and yes there were several vendors there today.

Looked like a pretty good shoot considering the economy!

I'm in No. Carolina visiting my new grandson and but am having withdrawals from missing the Nebraska shoot as it's always a good one. 1@atime, we Huskers have always respected your football team and state. Games have historically been hard fought and a classic rivalry. I'd invite you to attend our shoot someday as I would like to attend your shoot too. Best of luck to you the rest of the shooting year.

We DO have a web site here in Nebraska. It's shootnta.com and I expect the results to be posted shortly.

    Longhorn,

We left too early today to know much about the handicap results. In the Doubles Championship, there were at least two in-state 100's. Richard Marshall Jr. and Dustin Klein. Rick won the shootoff. In the singles, there were two in-state 198's. Richard Marshall Jr. and Dustin Klein. Rick won the shootoff. Rick won the high over all. Dustin beat him in the HAA, as Rick shot a 90 and Dustin a 91 in the handicap. Not sure what came in the handicap later that might have knocked Dustin out of the HAA? Tough conditions the last two days. The shoot was well run and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves.

1@atime (Jim): We quit acting like this on this site several months ago with the addition of more moderators. This thread response is totally uncalled for.

So what's KS got that the rest of us don't, certainly not a corner on the intellect market.

If you can't say anything nice, then don't.

I grew up in Nebraska, and now live in Kansas.

If nothing else, something both Nebraska and Kansas can say that Oklahoma can't is, "at least the Prince of Darkness (a.k.a Sober Sooner) doesn't live here."

And for that, both Kansans and Nebraskans can hold their heads up and be proud.

His IP is there in KS...

    Ditto to tim99!

I have lots of KS and EN customers AND shooting friends.

You should see my private emails I've been getting from Kirby LaPorte on my comment. I suggested her munch on a bar of soap to much on. He's a piece of work.

This thread is getting a little testy. I do believe that Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska do produce the best tornadoes and some of these strong storms seem to be getting on this thread.

Tom Hoppe and I drove from Milwaukee to attend the Nebraska State Shoot last weekend. Although, it was very windy the shoot was run very well. I enjoyed shooting with some fine young shooters in Chance Fleming, Ashley Nau, Sheena Stoddard and an old veteran Jon Guy.

Overall, considering the conditions and still getting used to my release trigger, I was pleased with my results ( no more flinching). I didn't win any trophies but I was competitive in nearly every event! My buddy Tom was runnerup in class B doubles ( out of state ) with a 97.

The grounds in Doniphan were in good shape. They threw pretty hitable targets even with the 25 to 30mph winds. Shoot management was cordial & responsive to the shooters in every case except the wind! I look forward in attending the shoot again in the future.

Good one Pat. Rick, thanks to you and Tom for attending our shoot and also for the positive comments. Hope you had a safe trip home.Wished I could have met you. Next year for sure.

I was born and raised in KS and have lived in NE for over 40 yrs. I attended the last three days of the KS shoot. Fri. wasn't bad,but Sat. and Sun. had very strong winds. 30 + out of the South. Also a very well-run shoot.(Tim,need to meet you sometime)

I guess that most of us who shoot in the midwest just have to realize that we are going to have to put up with some funky weather at times.

Hopefully, we as shooters, don't confuse bad weather with a poorly run shoot.

Good shooting to all the remainder of the year.
