He had to eat his words this afternoon when a debris caution gave him the free pass to get back on the lead lap.

There's still 60 laps to go, I'm hoping the big one comes and takes him out of contention. Along with Gordon and Johnson. cls

Nascar officials had Stewart taken out near the end. The only reason he ate his words was to keep from being suspended, or fined more. jrw

Its not on cue they put little booms in the wheelwells so it looks like a blow out. If the race is 500 laps then it should be 500 laps not 497 498 or 499. 500.

Stewart got fined for missing a post-race media event! Not for shooting his big fat mouth off! And they call Jeff Gordon a whiner! You notice that Stewart got a "lucky Dog" lap back today. He gladly took advantage of the "debris" caution.

been to 7 nascar races , never even seen a driver outside of the car at the race . been at 2 N. H. R. A. events and met and talked to as many drivers as i wanted to, they take and make the time to talk to the fans . those nascar drivers could give a hoot if you go to there souvenir trailer and buy something. if you like racing and not seeing a car go 330 mph in a quarter mile does'nt exite you , you have a problem .

I don't know if 500 under green is reasonable or necessary, but finishing under green is an absolute must.

The whole purpose of the damn race is to see who is the fastest and that can change real quick on the superspeedways. I would have thown junk on the track too.

Fuel cells, restrictor plate, C.O.T., what a bunch of crap. The cars look stupid.

If you go watch bikes on the mile or half mile at National events, you can go in the pits after and talk to all the guys, get autographs, whatever.

Best motorsports show of all. (And it's real racing.)

I sure would like to see "stock cars". Engines, drive trains, and bodys. The way it used to be, factory sponsership was more interesting. Tony

nascar will never be fixed until the the good ol boys really use a stock car. the only stock thing is the (fiberglass) shell that looks like a car. still using the small block chevy boat anchor (with a carburator) that they have been using since 1955. no wonder gm is #2. 30 or so years ago auto companies actually had to sell the (stock) cars on the showroom floor to anyone that wanted one. make them use what comes off the assembly line. at least they have good crashes. oz

NASCAR is pretty weak. BORING .. take off the restrictor plates, go with steel bodied cars and race.

It is just a matter of time until we hear all the goofy foreign names in the lineup. It will go the route of CART up to the time where the IRL came about.
