You probably put a BB in first and then loaded a pellet. That's a risk when shooting a gun with two types of ammo. Did you blow thru the barrel before reloading?
Probably a slow lock-up time which cause the c02 to build up excessive pressure, which in turned exploded because the gas could not escape in a timely manner.
What is it with these Crossmans these days! My paintball gun blew up last year. I had it hooked up to a 300 Bar dive tank. Factory said something about excessive pressure. I did freeze the paintballs. Think that might have had anything to do with it?
Well I blew a Rubber on my Crossman years ago maybe you are not getting a tight seal ok I had the pump up kind maybe I got to excited and pumped it to many times.
The only thing I know about gas guns wouldn't help you at all because I have a leak sometimes and can never figure out how it happened.
A friend of a friend at the clubs' brother's friend's, mother's sister's cousin's brother's ex-wife's mother-in-law's uncle's step brother's second cousin loaded one of those Crossmans up with muffler bearings and it did the same thing.
Shootlow, I think you should post pictures of your pellet gun so that some of us EXPERTS can figure out just what went wrong. Maybe we can help keep it from happining to someone else and avoid putting out someone's eye. Rick
It's also possible that you had a detonation if your air was damp when you compressed it. This could lead to a very fast conflagration. Why are so many Crossmans failing and not Beemans or RWS? It could be the owners of the Crossmans are wreckless.
