During my chemo last year, I took a break and went to the Grand. Probably with a hopeful eye to the future, I bought a nickel receiver Kolar Elite that Jeff Mainland had on consignment from an estate. Ironically, the estate was from a trapshooter who had lost his battle with cancer. I shot it a few times and was very pleased. Later in the fall, I began thinking about having some gold highlights added to it. I searched this site and others for info on engravers and settled on Bill Mains after learning he already does some of Kolar's work. I sent the gun to Bill and below are the results. I'm very pleased and thought y'all might like to see the results. Next ? Maybe a new stock.

Thanks to all for the compliments.
WPT nailed it. I told Bill Mains I wanted elegant and tasteful but not gaudy or flashy. I think he did a nice job.

If we did that, we'd have to figure out a way to hand the gun off reallllllllllly fast so we could both shoot it. <:)

When do you pick it up?
