I bought a new citori XS high rib, I get to pick it up tommrow, but of course its gonna be colder than the testie's on a brass monkey. Might have to give it a whirl anyway.

OPEN UP! IT'S THE SPELL CHECK POLICE!

It's "tomorrow", not "tommrow", and testes don't have an "i" or an apostrophe.

Seriously Kelly, enjoy your gun. I'm going to shoot my new (for me) Alfermann in our first registered shoot of the year tomorrow too. I think I can imagine your anticipation.

Kelly, I know the feeling, taking my new SKB unsingle out tonight for it`s first run. Supposed to be around 25 deg., light snow, but I don`t care.

    Break-em-all

    Tom R.

PS. Before it starts, NO COMMENTS ON SKB, THANKYOU.

Spelling aside, what's an XS high rib? The XS skeet has a slightly higher rib than the XS sporting, but the highest rib is on the XT trap.

The balls referred to in the expression "freeze the balls off a brass monkey" are cannon balls, not part of the male anatomy. Minor quibble.

    Kelly,

I hope you and your new gun see eye to eye.

A new gun to shoot will always make it feel like 80 degrees outside.

We are supposed to have a trap/skeet combo tournament tomorrow. Minus 7 with 45 mph wind gusts overnight.

    code,

A monkey was a pair of brass rails mounted on a ship, used to store cannon balls so they could be quickly loaded. If it got too cold, the brass rails would shrink and the balls would fall off between them.

I should note that while this is the most popular explanation for the saying's origen, not all agree that it is factual.
