At the Dogwood Shoot in NC last Saturday I shot two ninety seven on the 200 bird singles event. Can anyone beat that?

It appears we've supported the theory that there's only three kinds of people - those good at math and those that aren't.

sissy- The math is very simple. I shot a 97 on the first 100 and a 97 on the second 100-- that is two ninety seven.

Pat, I shot two ninety seven this past weekend too; however, mine came on the second half of a 200 singles event Sat followed by the next day's 100 bird event.

Not too shabby for me, but pales in comparison to your stellar performance.

You are also a fine fisherman.

    A 97 is a great score.

Doing it twice in a row is nice shooting.

Well........I have struggled with that elusive 200 straight (three 199's) but using your method I can claim a two nintey nine. How do you top that?

    Pat,
I think I got you beat! This last Saturday we had an ATA Shoot at Stockton

Trap and Skeet. Went out to the practice trap and I ran 25. My buddy who is

a SV A class shooter shot a 23. He looked at me and asked if I really ran

them. I said Yes Bob, I really ran them.

Well after singles were over with, he came up to me and said he thought he had

me beat by a bird. I asked him what he shoot and he said a 96. Don't know why

I did this, but I looked him right in the eye and said, No Bob, I beat you by

6 birds. I shot a 102! He looked at me strangely and walked away. Later he's

asking some AA shooters how in the hell did I do that. Between them laughing

and me laughing, he packed up his gun and left the club.

I'll see him at league tomorrow night and I know I'll catch hell.

    So your 97 + 97 = 207, right?? I vote for you anytime.

Pat is just speaking good Virginian. For example...pounds would be pound; miles would be mile; 97's wouls be 97. I grew up just a few [mile] north of the Mason-Dixon line, but that's how we say it, too ;>)

MY deer hunting buddy asked me to help drag out his four pointer, When we walked up on his deer it was a doe with all four legs up in the air, He smiled and said "yep, four pionter".
