Now that I have it fitted to me I like it very much, but do not use it in Buddy Shoots because of having to reach across to pull the bolt back when my buddy breaks his target.

It is too cumbersome, wish it had a trigger reset like a 1100 Timney Trigger.

And being winter wearing gloves it is just a no no for me.

I have the 2nd design stock, would like to see and try the 3rd design stock'

Fabarms need to do one more thing and that is have LONGER COMB POSTS available
I had to design my own and build them.

You would not believe the Bbl and choke dimensions if you are into this and Bbl designs and choke configurations, Un-believable, and perfection at it's best. A Bbl designed for 2 3/4 inch shells only on the Target Models not 3 inch shells.

Thanks for the critique, sounds like a gun I will avoid.

At the SHOT Show last week, I talked to an individual who is
one of the top sporting clays shooters in Texas. In the past,
he shot primarily Beretta and Krieghoff. About a year ago, he
started shooting the XLR5. He said his scores are up and the gun is
totally dependable. His gun has the stepped rib which he is
replacing with the flat rib version.

Gary isn't mentioning that he has a release trigger and that he likes a gun to shoot 100% high. But of course he is normal???

I have been using the XT and it is working out very well on buddies. I do have a release in both guns, and the XLR5 shoots 110% high. I have the Wire flip down Shell catcher by Birchwood Casey.

Looking forward to seeing and trying the 3rd gen as the 1st had too big a grip to trigger distance for my hand.

The 3rd design was moved 2 mm or the thickness of a nickle hardly noticable.
