    I can understand that, Halfmile.

Along those same lines, my Dad would give Mom $20.00 a week for groceries for our family of 6. She would always get at least 4 full bags of groceries for that money.

Try it today.........ha! You'd be lucky to get two full bags.

$30, ya that would get you a gallon of milk, 1 dozen eggs, a loaf of bread, box of cerial, and a tin of coffee.

    What a bargain!

Mu Dad would be proud too. I live in a home, not much larger than his, but more than 10 times as much as his was. I made at least 5 times as much as he did when he retired. My cars cost a little more than 10 times what they were in 1967. We must be a lot better off.

I work for a family owned grocery store that started in 1894 and at some point was under the Clover Farm banner. On the trip to Lepsic Gun Club in NW Ohio yesterday a barn along RT 224 off I 75 had a big Clover Farm sign on it. It is a tough environment for the independent retailer in our current economy. I feel that food is cheap in relation to other expenses that a family must deal with.
