I know this has been asked and answeered previously but I am having old age syndrom. what is the difference between a Mx2000 and an MX 2005? Any real difference or simply cosmetic?
thanks,
doug
Just to confirm: The MX2000/8 receiver, the MX2000/3 receiver and the MX2000RS receiver are identical--right? The shooting application is determined by the rib and comb/stock combinstion selected. Correct??
Could you measure the spacing of the center post and the adjustment pins at either end? I am curious to know if the 2005 rib would fit on an RS barrel. Could you check the OU too? Obviously the stock would need to change to match the rib.
This is a placeholder. Tonight I will try to shoot the exact same picture of my barrel and post it up. That way we can know for sure and refer people back to these pictures in the future.
I was told the 2005 will take either the RS or the 2008 rib,
the RS will take the 2005 rib but not the 2008
and the 2008 will take the 2005 but not the RS
I was also told its possible to order a MX2000s with the 2005 barrel/rib, saving wasting money on removable triggers, as it would come with fixed coil springs.
