The Perazzi MX-2005 is a soft shooter fast and very easy to shoot . The high rib is hard to cant as being as tall as it is you see it right away . My 2005 comes in at 9.6lb not to bad . You can see the target very fast .

    Hi Guys

1st post but been lurking for a while.

I will be picking up a new Perazzi MX2000 or MX2008 on Tues, been waiting 4 months for them to arrive here in New Zealand. I have the choice of either gun and am hoping the new 2008 suits me as I really like the idea of a high & adjustable rib.I was initially looking at the MX2005 when the dealer mentioned the release of the new 2008 which has an even higher rib (40mm) and is designed primarily for Olympic Dbl Trap, but I was assured it would also suit the standard 16 yard DTL that we shoot most often here. I will be using it for both.

Does anyone shoot both disciplines over there with the MX2005?

I will post up my thoughts and photo's on Wed once I get my hands on one.

    Cheers

    Alex

This should take you to a picture of the MX 2008.

Could anyone tell me if there are any or what significant differences there may be between the MX-2000RS and the MX-2005?

3/8", as I recall. The stock is also higher to compensate; I don't think the wood is interchangeable with a 2000.

I have an MX-2000RS and the rib is about 3/16" higher than a standard MX-2000. My buddy shoots an MX-2005 and his rib is about 1/2" taller than my RS. The wood on his gun has a taller comb to work with the rib. I am sure it would bolt right on to my gun, but the comb would be pretty high.
