Does anyone know what kind of music that shooters with Mp3 players as ear plugs listen to and does it help with concentration. Bill

And after the Calcutta, Mike serves tea and crumpets in the clubhouse while the shooters gossip about the new prince.

You need to pick a music tempo that is in line with your shooting speed. Example, if you are a quick shooter choose a fast upbeat type of music, if you are a slower shooter choose a slower tempo. You don't need to play it loud just so it is comfortable to hear. I keep mine low enough so I can hear the shooter next to me when he calls for the target. I listen to the sound track from the Blues Brothers.

I have the 1812 Overture playing on "loop"..........I try to time my shot with the clashing of the cymbals.........(which probably explains why my average round is an 8) God bless America.....................

I listen to a mix of rock, country and old heavy metal. How loud it is depends on the people standing behind us.

Now if I could play my Sax and shoot at the same that would be the best of two worlds.

Each persons music is different, Myself for 16's I want something so I am not over aggressive to target, On handicap/doubles I want something a little more aggressive.

Phil Kiner, Used to play golf with Harry Reems, who starred in Deep Throat, in Park City Ut. Long after the movie. Was a born again Christian when I knew him and talked a lot, which made golfing a little difficult. He passed away a couple months ago. Mike

Actually, I either listen to elevator music or Little Richard singing "Long Tall Sally"....

You guys must be kidding yourselves with this music stuff. The drone of B-29 engines would help you focus on the target better.

I was shooting with a guy in PA a few weeks ago and he had the ear buds and music. While moving form station 3 to 4 he dropped a shell, I yelled called to get his attention and he heard nothing just kept moving, I then yelled still nothing I finialy had to poke him on the back and point to the shell. If it would have been a safty issue called by the score keeper he never would have heard her.

Is this a safe form of hearing protection. The ATA book says "ear protection" not ear buds.
