    Bet this brings back memories.....<br>
    <br>
    MOTHERS WHO DRUGGED US!!!<br>
    <br>
    The other day, someone at a store in our town read that a<br>
    Methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining<br>
    county and he asked me a rhetorical question.<br>
    <br>
    Why didn't we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?"<br>
    <br>
    I replied, I had a drug problem when I was young:<br>
    <br>
    I was drug to church on Sunday morning. I was drug to church for<br>
    weddings and funerals.<br>
    <br>
    I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the<br>
    weather.<br>
    <br>
    I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults.<br>
    <br>
    I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie,<br>
    brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of<br>
    the teacher or the preacher, or if I didn't put forth my best effort in<br>
    everything that was asked of me.<br>
    <br>
    I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap if<br>
    I uttered a profanity<br>
    <br>
    I was drug out to pull weeds in mom's garden and flower beds and<br>
    cockleburs out of dad's fields.<br>
    <br>
    I was drug to the homes of family, friends, and neighbors to help out<br>
    some poor soul who had no one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline,<br>
    or chop some firewood; and, if my mother had ever known that I took a<br>
    single dime as a tip for this kindness, she would have drug me back to<br>
    the woodshed.<br>
    <br>
    Those drugs are still in my veins and they affect my behavior in<br>
    everything I do, say, or think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack,<br>
    or heroin; and, if today's children had this kind of drug problem,<br>
    America would be a better place.<br>
    <br>
    God bless the parents who drugged us.<br>

    Its fortunate you were drug about ! The problem now a days women are alone having babies to get paid for them . And The children have no fathers they know of . We could all use some Good meaningful work in this Country . With out Jobs these kids are coming up learning selling drugs is OK . Its better to buy a tattoe than bible . Women selling their bodies to feed there children or drug habit , Yes but for the Grace of God maybe there we could had went . Export more Jobs , And things have to get even worse But Look at the Other side people blowing themselves up to kill others . Wonder what they need . A good lesson would be stay away from these hotspots in the world and take care of American People 1st . Go to nutral position and stay that way . Be strong however in our Military and swift . I was drug also . Discipline isnt being used anymore , Schools or elsewhere .

    Being drug all over was a good thing!!!!!

    My question is:

    Why did the generation in question(the dragees) fail to carry on the practice?

    I know that you will blame the schools and the government and today's morals and such but guess what?? The same folks that were drug all over are now running the schools and government and such.

    Where did it break down?

    I'm sure it was plagerized (as I have read this before) but it definitly is worth the time to read and think of the advantages we had over todays youth.
    Our drug habit was one we didn't kick..along with Yes Sir, No Mam, and Thank You. My second complaint for the day, I watched a NASCAR race the other day and noticed even members of the pit crews that failed to remove their hats during the National Anthem. If I were their boss, there would be only ONE warning. next time, your fired..

    The drug my parents used was crack-"crack" if you smart-mouthed, "crack" with bad grades(more than once in my case-slow learner that I am), "crack" any time they thought it was necessary. Did the same with my kids. The oldest got it for the last time at 16- the other 2 learned from her....
