I have an old mossberg model 35 that was given to me, and I was wondering what the apporoximate value of one would be. I can't find much about this gun on the internet. My particular gun has a scope with an adjustable height mount and i would say is in fair condition with a minor crack near the action.

There should be another letter after the 35 like a T or A or B. Looks like a 22lr single shot rifle made from 1935-1940. Here is a link with a little info.

I picked one up recently for 175 and it had the original rear aperture sight with adjustable aperture and the three element front sight. Mine is a 35b single shot and seems to be still quite accurate.

I've been told that the rear sight I've got is worth a C-note to Mossberg collectors.

What I need is a non-shrunk trigger guard.

I'm putting, temporarily, a 17a lyman front and a redfield rear for our summer buffalo shoots to compete in iron sight class.

Thanks for the info! I just double checked the markings on my gun and it just says "NO. 35". It appears to be the Model 35 Target grade bolt action single shot rifle pictured on the link that was given. My gun doesn't have a rear sight, just the scope. I also have the original sling for it somewhere i believe.. however it is not in good condition. Any idea what one of these would go for? like I said mine I would say is in fair condition with a minor crack in the stock near the action. I'll consider any reasonable offers if anyone reading this thread is interested. I'm not looking to make a killing, I just ran into some car troubles and need some money

Is an aperture sight the same as a "peep" sight?

Yes a rear aperature means the same as a peep sight.
