I have a mossberg 935 which came with a adjustable comb shim package.
with this shotgun I tend to always shoot high.
Does anyone realy know if you over shoot do you use the drop shims or the
rise shims to correct the situation. I have checked several different
sorces and get conflicting information. I will appreaciate any help I can get
    Thanks signed Eugene Martin

If you are shooting high you want to drop the comb down some. Might want to us a patterning board for this but remember, you want your gun to shoot a little bit high anyway.

if you keep linning up the beads the same way everytime it doesnt matter if you raise or lower the comb height with your shims. I have browning gold with shims. have 2 different shims 1. is thicker at the top lowering the comb 2.is thicker at bottom raiseing the comb. shims change comb height on gold 1/8th inch. start with no shims and put it on a pattern board at 13yards. then change shims but dont try to lign up beads the same as the no shim. So if no shims gives you the classic fig8 stacked bead sight, then if you raise there should be a slight distance change between beads. if you lower they should line up more.

your shooting high may just be you lifting your head up slightly.
