In 2011 law enforcement officals Justified Homicides equal 393 felons caught in the act.

Private citizen Justifed Homicides equal 260, felons caught in the act.
12 killed by rifle, 153 by handgun, 10 by shotgun, 26 gun not stated, 46 knife,
    9 other weapons, 4 personal

    From FBI Statistics

So of the 8407 Homicides by gun in the USA in 2011, around 650 of them are justified homicide by LEO's and private citizens.

In 2011, 72 LEO's nationally, died feloniously, 63 were killed with firearms, 50 with handguns, 21 died within five feet from the offender.

What saves LEO's lives? Better equipment, better training, vests, and a lower crime rate.

    What saves citizen's lives? Guns.

Where are the big name, big dollar people when it comes to reporting the true statistics and defending the American Constitutional way of life with guns and in accordance with our Second Amendment?

All the average person hears is a magnitude of anti gun people emotionally reporting that guns are bad, guns kill people and must be removed from the public hands and statistics show that this is unwarranted.

Do the math, 12,000,000 million people est. in the USA own guns, homicide by gun deaths, including LEO crime fighting figures are at 8407 out of a population of 310,000,000.

11,991,593 est. gun owners did not commit homicide with guns last year. What majority does gun legislation serve?

Furthermore, IMHO, I conclude that the majority of gun owners are good citizens and not crazed killers or incompetent goof balls and that the laws on the books already without new legislation are sufficent and actually exceed what is necessary if properly enforced.

Furthermore statistics with regard to non citizens of the USA and violent crimes are difficult to find.

Some excerpts from the above website report:

"•DHS states that it has identified 221,000 non-citizens in the nation’s jails. This equals 11 to 15 percent of the jail population. Non-citizens comprise only 8.6 percent of the nation’s total adult population"

"•The Federal Bureau of Prisons reports that 26.4 percent of inmates in federal prisons are non-U.S. citizens. Non-citizens are 8.6 percent of the nation’s adult population. However, federal prisons are not representative of prisons generally or local jails.

"•A Pew Hispanic Center study found that, of those sentenced for federal crimes in 2007, non-citizen Hispanics were 74 percent of immigration offenders, 25 percent of drug offenders, 8 percent of white collar offenders, and 6 percent of firearms offenders. Non-citizen Hispanics are 5.1 percent of the nation’s adult population. However, the report does not provide information for other crimes or for non-Hispanic immigrants"

•In 2009, 57 percent of the 76 fugitive murderers most wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were foreign-born. It is likely however that because immigrants can more readily flee to other countries, they comprise a disproportionate share of fugitives.

For more info read the report.

If anyone has reliable tables with regard to non citizen homicide offenders in the USA please post. I could not find reliable actual statistics but I could venture to say that some of the 8407 homicides were committed by non citizen offenders.
