    What is Black Liberation Theology?<br>
    <br>
    James Cone (founder of Black Liberation Theology and mentor of Rev Wright-Obama's spiritual leader for 20 years):<br>
    <br>
    Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love. [1]<br>

    Obama referred to this when he asserted in a March 14 statement, "I knew Reverend Wright as someone who served this nation with honor as a United States Marine, as a respected biblical scholar, and as someone who taught or lectured at seminaries across the country, from Union Theological Seminary to the University of Chicago."<br>

    The Real Agenda of Black Liberation Theology<br>
    <br>
    The sad truth is that neither the Reverend Wright nor black liberation theology is being misunderstood. Both, thanks to the candidacy of Barack Obama, are being exposed. God, in fact, works in mysterious ways. And unless it's the aforementioned liberals and Democrats who are trying to hush up Wright, Moss and others of their ilk, sensible Americans want to hear more, for knowledge is power, the power to combat hate.

    It is really sad that people could learn to hate this country so much. This country which gives them more opportunity than any other on earth.

    MIA,

    What "open and liberal" means in the context of the UCC, in my experience, is the ability of a "faction" to take control of an effectively functioning church (which is making a difference in its surrounding community and others far away), exercise its anti-biblical views upon congregation members, run them off, and then preside over the diminished pieces of what's left.

    Ye reap what ye sow. Come next January 20th, Barack Obama will assume his duties as the "Interim Pastor" of America. And he's going to try to make us "ignorant" Americans "face up to" the realities of viewpoints he thinks we should change. I can just hear his inauguration speech now: "Let us not put a period, where the Founding Fathers placed a comma...James Madison is Still Speaking."

    (I just hope the UCC isn't diverting too much of your wife's retirement funds to Obama's campaign...heck, for all I know, you're big supporters).
