WoW, where you guy's been? I been fighting these idiots for 30 years!!

Been to their "phoney" Public hearings and meetings(required by law)but not required to listen to or adhere to public comments.

You have to understand how it got to this. First an ignorant public(unconcerned citizens) and a influx of college decreed "earth firster's" into the ranks of the US Forest Service!! Remember them? They used to be called "Green Peace"

They (green peace members) figured out that in order to get what they wanted(protest weren't working), they needed to get "hired" by the US Forest Service. Since the Federal government looks at people with degrees as "all knowing and grandiose in the intelligence department" that's the direction they took.

Guess What? The Federal Government hired them by the truck load! Any one who retired with any REAL knowledge of Timber management, was replaced with a college flunkey's. NOW they are entrenched, in almost all positions of "decision making" through out the Dept of the Interior and Agriculture NOAH and others.

GOOD LUCK IN ROUTING THEM OUT!!!!

They will not tell you to your face how they really believe and will come across as they are REALLY interested in what you have to say. NOT!
They have Congress to guard their backs and their regional offices full of greenie's and lawyers to write up cleverly sounding documents for Congress!!

They also enlist the help of groups like the Sierra Club, ELF and ALL news media outlets and college professors in "propagandizing" their cause!

If you WANT your public land back, your going to have to change Congress, then the Senate. In hopes of getting rid of 20 years of "false" record keeping! Vote in people who KNOW what it means to be an American!

Our forest here USED to be a source of revenue for Schools and the Federal government. NOW they have become a EXPENSE! They are OUT of money for what really needs done, but get millions from DC to destroy roads and make up false maps and deceive the public!

Here are some "Key" words that should throw up RED FLAG's; Spotted owl, Marlets, Salmon, Saving water for Fish, Saving OUR Forest,Protecting our Enviroment. They are just a few that are used. These people are slicker then owl shit!!

Wonder how they got some of their money....

Kentucky Coal Association president Bill Bissett told the meeting that Chesapeake has also funded the American Lung Association’s Clean Air Initiative. The result, he said, is that the lung health group has attacked the coal and oil lobbies while leaving the natural gas industry alone.

Scott Rotruck, Chesapeake’s vice president of corporate development and state government relations, holds a seat on the American Lung Association’s board. The association’s Clean Air Initiative website currently features a large Chesapeake Energy logo and describes a $500,000 matching-gift pledge by the company.

Competitive Enterprise Institute Senior Fellow Chris Horner told TheDC that the natural gas industry’s financial support “apparently dictated, as opposed to followed,” the Sierra Club’s advocacy work.

“Here we see the group being paid so much money I have no idea how they could possibly spend it all, to tout gas, block — according to their own boasts — more than 100 coal plants and now force closure of many existing plants. Only to no longer receive support and coincidentally find gas to be a very, very bad thing. Huh.”

Food and Water Watch, another environmental group with a strong position against natural-gas fracking, declined to comment.

Ron Arnold, the executive vice president of the Center for the Defense of Free Enterprise, told TheDC that the Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal campaign is a divide-and-conquer tactic to convince electric utilities to use natural gas instead of coal. But by 2010, he said, with the Sierra Club nearing its goal of making coal-derived power production burdensome and prohibitively expensive, “it backed out of the gas deal and suddenly refused to take any more dirty money.”

“How long will the Sierra Club’s grassroots members put up with this?” Arnold asked

It has long been the agenda of the radical environmentalists to shut the common man off the land. What the lower echelon useful idiot "true believers" don't understand is that once success has come to their movement, they will be included and possibly even eliminated.

ever wonder why timberfaller hates college educated people? He must think all of the US military's weapon systems were designed by high school drop-outs like himself....he also must think all of the technological developments originating within the US came from folks with a GED.

Get over it timberfaller. You didn't apply yourself in school and had to suck it up working as a "ditch digger".

Sernv99, you Sir are a crude, foul, individual. You downgrade the man for his stating that the US Forest Service has become saturated with educated idiots. Which is a fairly safe assumption. He stated he had encounters with them for 30 years. In his business "The Timber Industry" I'm confident that yes, he has dealt with many of them on a personal basis. As I have also been involved with the industry and have first hand knowledge of the many yards of red tape involved, some justified, some absolutely insane.

I see no mention of the US. Military Weapon Systems in his post, nor any stereotyping all college educated people as idiots. He pretty well called out the radical groups, ELF and the Sierra Club, which I might add have been hated for their total opposition to any logging in the Northwest for years and known for the spiking of many trees on BLM tracts that were to be logged among many other distasteful acts such as the burning of housing developments under construction. I read it that this was what he refers to.

I believe by his sign on name it is apparent that he is a Timberman, Lumberjack, Logger. Each and all an honest hard working, dangerous trade that requires a lot of knowledge and common sense. It paid well, probably more than a lot of BA and BS degreed individuals made. Certainly well above a common "Ditchdigger".

That being said he did have enough education to capitalize the first word of his first sentence. You may want to edit yours.

I don't make a habit of posting on here just because of people like you, Your inept tirade just hit me wrong and I had to elaborate. And yes, I am College educated and can readily identify an educated idiot when I see, hear or read his writings.

No pissing contest wanted, I'm done! J.Woolsey

    Hey SERNV,

Where in my post did I say I "hate" educated idiots?

FYI I've been to college, Waste of my time!! Made the Deans list every quarter with 18 credit per quarter!

As far as a "ditch digger" goes, I have more "respect" for them then I do for a college educated idiot.

Why, because they are not afraid of breaking a sweat and THEY actually accomplish a given task!! With out any need of a paper pusher or trail!!

Timberfaller: Based on your past pissing and moaning posts about college education being a waste, somewhere you got crossed by someone with a college degree and you have a hard on for such people. Get over it and quit your whining like the world owes you something. You sound like the Occupy movement.

If you think college is a waste, go flip burgers at McD's or find another mindless job to do.

One observation if I may. I am a deerhunter. I like to go my solitary way poking about the woods and observing nature as well as the surroundings. I don't own an ATV and I have nothing against anyone who does BUT part of the reasoning behind closing some of these woods roads and trails lies with the 10% of the ATV folks who stray from the established trails. I (and many of you) have seen many examples of "hillclimbs" and "mudbogs" where the ruts are deep and numerous and they lead to erosion that cannot be brought back. Therin lies the main problem.

So sernv99 you apparently don't think a ditch digger is a impotent job? A ditch digger is the people that install main line sewer and water to your home, dug the foundation, dig in the utilities and so on. Get the idea? I have been a ditch digger since 1973 and find you comments insulting and just plain ignorant. I also see every unite of government sticking there big snoot in every ones business making it harder and harder to keep afloat. And there is always a charge. This country is over regulated and our government is are own worst enemy.

The World owes me nothing, sernv! BUT I have LOST lots of income over the years, thanks to educated idiots, yes they have college degree's, some have had up to 6 degree's!!

They were still dumber then a box of rocks! and the worst were Federal people! Who "knew more then you" and a few State one's to back them up! Early 20 year old's with a government position and a little authority ARE a dangerous Breed!!

And having to DEAL with their mistakes, is even a bigger pain in the ass then they are from just being around!!

The SMARTEST one's I've been around are those who only had a High School diploma, who let "experience" teach them what they knew. But to stay employed went to nite school to acquire the necessary seal of approval on a piece of paper to satisfy the over reaching employer.

NO occupuke here! YOU need a college degree and a unpaid student loan to qualify for that title!!!!!!!

    ctreay,

Your concern has been addressed at all the public meetings around here. The districts that don't allow ATV's refuse to listen to what works. What they are actually saying is "we don't trust you" and "stay out of OUR forest".

What works around here is the "clubs" THEY will turn you in, if your seen doing or going where you are not suppose to!! All it takes is a license plate number and description. IT WORKS you place a call into the forest cop and he/she looks you up and give you a big fat ticket or worse!

The one district here that won't let ATV's in and is actively destroying as much road networks as possible, IS also intrenched with a S&&& load of eco-freaks(greenies) with degrees!!

    Ctreay,

You are correct about the impact of 4 wheelers. Twice each year I have to re-grade miles of sand roads because of the damage these trespassers do to my property. I get no financial assistance and have to foot the bill myself.

The State of New Jersey has insituted a $1000 fine for unauthorized 4 wheel trespass. We have caught 2 of them but many others continue to wreck our roads. Even the State police admit that there is little they can do to stop this. There was even a State Trooper who wrote a letter to the newspaper that it was the fault of the people of New Jersey that his step son was killed while crossing the Garden State Parkway on his ATV. He claimed that the people of the State should have provided places for his stepson to ride. This fool is too stupid to be a cop and carry a gun. Why didn't he look into places for the kid to ride BEFORE he bought him the ATV!

Hey people, don't be so hard on Serv99.

He/she is actually serving a very valid purpose in the things he/she writes. The First Amendment protects his/her right to express an opinion. By doing so he/she is showing all of us the Rights of American Citizens extend to all, even those who don't have a clue as to what they are saying. It even allows insulting, crude and vile speech by those so inclined to use it.

Yes, that good old First Amendment does give us all the right to speak freely and thereby to publicly expose themselves to everyone else as to their total lack of comprehension, understanding or common sense. Well done Serv99. You have more than amply demonstrated that the First Amendment is not restricted to only those who know what they are saying.

whiz-bang: so you are the guy that operates the backhoe, sitting in the operator's chair all day long, taking breaks every 15 minutes huh? Yeah I have seen those "ditch diggers" laying down foundations and sewer lines and they sure are not digging a sewer trench or utility line with a pick ax and hand shovel. What's next, are you going to tell me you use to work in a quarry crushing 2 ton boulders with just a sledgehammer?

timberfaller: you are just like the Occupy crowd: A "have-not" jealous of the ones that "have". Again, you must had been crossed by someone who climbed the career ladder faster than you, given your constant whining about college education. Maybe you should move to a socialist country where everyone is a winner and gets first place so you won't feel left out. LMAO Looks like you can't hang in a capitalist society.
