Here are some photos my wife and I took on a driving trip last weekend to and across the Kingdom of Lesotho. Lesotho is a small land-locked country, entirely encircled by South Africa.

Very mountainous, and some rough roads (probably more accurate to say that there were a few dozen miles of actual paved roads), but stunning landscapes.

We stayed at a B&B that is at the top of Sani Pass, advertized as the highest pub in Africa at an elevation of 9,429 feet above sea level, then drove over Tlaeng Pass which is advertized as the highest drivable mountain pass in Africa at 10,666 feet above sea level.

We also traveled to Clarens, in Free State, South Africa, and Golden Gate Highlands National Park in South Africa.

    Hope you enjoy the photos.

Lesotho may be beautiful, but be very careful. It holds the dubious distiction of having one of highest murder-rate in the world. Chichay

I told Tim that he has completely changed my perspective of what I thought South Africa was like. It's absolutely beautiful and many aspects look no different than here in the US. He and his wife are definitely making the best of the situation.

Bangalore, Its like most places in the USA. There are places you just don't go. I'm not taking anything for granted, mind you.

But much of the crime is in the settlement towns.
