Check with any hearing aid dealer, the mold (impression) that they make for custom fit hearing aids work just fine for me. Ross Puls

You can also do them yourself with a kit made by Radians ( smaer outfit that makers dhooting glasses) that is sold at Bass Pro and Cabelas stores. The kit sells for about $16.

The self kits sold at stores are set up for failure. The way that you make them does not work well for any kind of effectiveness. Dont waste your money. You might as well stick gum in your ears. Terry

Terry has it right. Those Radian kits are a joke. In order for molded plugs to work right, they need to be molded down into the ear canal. Those kits simply do not allow for this nor do they come with enough material if you could get it in the canal all the way. If you are gonna go with molded, do yourself a favor and have someone experienced in the process make them for you.

I have more than a few sets and can tell you that the person making them has a lot to do with how good they are and how well they work.
EAR is the best I have found and only wish I had found them years ago as my hearing may be better today.

Mallard only has it right if the people using the foam ear plugs inserts it right and 8 out of 10 people dont. The foam ear plugs do not work well on people with small ear canels. Each plugtypes has their own advantages and disadvantages. Terry
