1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

    Rifle shooters,

My dad has a browning model 71 deluxe 348 cal.lever action, new in the box, never been fired.

He won this gun at a trapshoot in the mid 80's

Anybody know what it is worth?

He would like to sell this rifle.

Thanks for any info. Don Curten jr.

Is this a WRA (Winchester Repeating Arms) rifle? The prices above are for the Browning.

There are Winchester collectors on this site. Put up a pic of the gun and box end flap.

It's a browning, we think 3000 were made in the mid 80's.

We just don't know enough about this gun,I told my dad you guys would give him
Some idea about what it is worth.

The lever action is still banded and has never been opened.

I will try and get some pictures and post them

    Thanks

How do you sell a gun on gunsamerica?

Do you send them the gun or pictures and they advertise it for you?

    Just wondering

What people ask for them and what they sell for online at those sites are often very very different prices

Just keep that in mind- if you want to sell it

    Gene

PS personally I would rather have the 24 inch that you have

You don't send them the gun, Don. GunsAmerica is basically an online classified section for guns, similar to Ebay. I've bought a few guns via gunsamerica and had good luck with it altho' I've never sold a gun that way, but if you go to their website I'm sure they explain the process.

Those prices seem to be a little high for a Browning 71(except the 825.00 NIB).........now if it were a Winchester those would be some pretty good prices, but as GN77777777 said.......those are asking prices, not sales prices.

I bet ya all would like to own this for $825 huh, count me in too. Honestly I believe it is worth at least $1200 and likely more ( providing that it is new in box with everything included such as papers etc)

Write this down: never ask wood-be buyers what something is worth.
