1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

    I have for sale a early model 31 that has been converted to a trap gun.

    It has a Simmons rib.

    The wood is 99% and the blueing has some small surface spots.

    what is the serial number please. The trigger does not look like an early one but I cannot see well

    the serial # is 30854. Remington said it was maid in 1939

    Just curious, someone told me the early triggers were a "lift" trigger, meaning they sort of lifted to release rather than pull back!?!

    Can anyone verify this for me, or explain the difference?

    yes, the early ones were lift & all steel without a trigger tang into the stock. No SS it is not my old gun. Mine isserial # 877
