I just had a customer ask me to paint a white model 12 hydro-coil stock and fore end for him. the stock is in very good+ condition, almost excellent except for two 1/16 to 1/4" spots. I talked him into letting me paint one of the wood sets I had in stock. He wants me to take the stock in full/partial payment for my stock plus paint work. What I'd like to know is what is something like this worth? I did an internet search but came up blank. Thanks for any info you can provide.

One would think, if a person knew the value they would know what one looks like, but here you go.

    The "bad" spots.

    Wally, make me an offer.

If you had said a white plastic stock set or tenite stock set I could have answered with out the pic. I'v seen them in plastic from around 150-350 for a set and make sure the system is still working. fixing them is not fun.

In over 40 years I never saw a white, tenite hydro-coil, my apologies.

    The system works fine.

I've seen several wood ones and several brown wood colored ones in person I have only seen pictures of the white stock ones in a catalogues. I guess for the right winchester collector it might be a hens tooth.

This is the first white one I've seen in person, I've had several brown ones, but they were complete guns. I allowed him $350, he agreed, now I'm going to put a model 12 trap together. My thanks to all.

eightbore, thanks for the credit. I am interested in the stock set. They only came on 1963- 64 guns factory. They could have been added to other guns but need to be documented with a factory letter. The last new perfectset I sold brought $650. Let me know, and thanks.Jeff

    Apology to Roger!

In my mind it was green ... dug it out of the back of the safe ... and it is brown.

    Sheeesh! Must be getting old!
