1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I think someone is showing pictures of the gun (nice gun) but I see no indication that it is for sale.

All those pictures of the gun and no pictures of the barrel and ventilated rib. I do not know what Winchester made from 1964 to 1972. I do know that they stopped making the model 12 in 1964. I tried to order/buy a new model 12 in 1964 and the wholesaler that I bought from told me 'Winchester stop making the model 12 shotgun'. Several years later with the demand from trapshooters, Winchester started to manufacture the "Y" model 12. By the way, this is a very nice looking M12.

Model 12's were available from Winchester from 1964 until the cast receiver models were introduced in 1972 beginning with serial number Y 2,000,000. These were high grade models from the custom shop with multiple choices on engraving, A or B carved wood, gold inlays if desired, all having hand honed chokes and actions. When Winchester quit production of the standard grade model 12 in 1964 they kept around 500 of the old forged receivers for these custom built guns and warranty service on previously built models. Model 12's built during this time frame have serial numbers starting with a Y and are in the 1,960,000 range. The one I have pictured has the second engraving choice, B carved wood, and came in a box for a model 1200 with the zero's crossed off with instructions and hang tags from the original production guns. I only wish mine had the number five engraving like the one pictured above! Not for sale!
