    I have a question about a model 12 I have
I do not know the history of this gun
    It has fancy engraving
On the left side it has 2 dogs and 2 pheasant
On the right side 1 dog and 2 Quail
The strange part is it has a lever on the right side at the front of the trigger guard that switches from pull to release trigger
It is a very nice looking firearm
Any info on what I have would be nice

    Thanks in advance

I would like to be the first e-mail you send if you are interested in selling.
If you are able to post some pics or e-mail them to me I can be pretty helpfull I think.

come on now you know its a $100 gun. Win didnt make the trigger set up [I dont think] it was a custom by someone. Engraving was on the Pigeon grade. There was no set patter so each was a who wants what. Kind of a one of the kind deal. It could have been after market If so there should be a signaure on the receiver under stock.

I would say you are correct on the trigger, probably a timlin or something like that. I have pull triggers and releases so the option would be neat to have

I just really like model 12's and would like to get a few more in my collection.

I am sorry I dont have any way to get pictures online at this time

I bought the gun local dealer in the state of Maine

I dont see a pigeon on the bottom of the gun

I dont see a name on the gun anywhere (where should I look)?

It has and adjustable comb on it

The engraving does go about 6 inches down the barrel

I didnt put this question up to sell it but as the saying goes for the right money it could be for sale

    Thanks for the help...

Sounds like a custom engraving job. The most common place to look for the engravers name is under the game scene. The name will be in very small letters and will tend to blend in with the engraving. It can be difficult to find.
