Model 12 help

    Did you push the forend forward to release the action slide lock, then pull/pump the forend back to open the action?

    Is this your first Model 12? The action works differently from newer models.

    I have found that M12's get slicker to operate the more they are shot!

    Had this exact same problem on my fathers Model 12 for years, as long as I can remember. Finally had a smith look at it and found that oil, carbon, gunk, etc collects on and around the release inside the receiver and make it hard to operate. Cleaned it all out nice and the thing is slick as a whistle now. I would wager you will find the same.
