I just bought a Raider and just wanted to know if any one has one and how they like it. Have you had any problems? Thanks

There was an early Raider but I forget who was the mfg'r. Jim Otto of early Oakland Raider fame, their best ever center, had one and he had his number (doube zero - OO) put on the spare tire cover. Anyone familiar with the Raiders of '60 and '70s knew exactly who that Raider belonged to. Necessary trivia.....Bob Dodd

Its to late now that you bought it to ask this question Id have to say. I had one that always had fuel delivery issues and would sputter and die whilst driving. Good thing I never took it out of town, was my work vehicle.
It ended up having a warped head and shot injectors when I did finally get to tear into it to fix it, then I sold it right quick.
    Yea I know....no help!

Hey Bob, my former wife (she grew up in San Leandro)was at the Heidi Game. Remember that one? Last year, she sold her Heidi Game program, ticket stub, with 4-5 player signatures on it too, on eBay. Buyer was a bar owner in East Bay somewhere. Those were the days when the Bay had some amazing teams...Oakland A's and Charlie Finely and Al with his Raiders.

Yeah, jimx200, remember the game well. I was on duty in a patrol car and sitting on the peak of Kirker Pass Rd. in Contra Costa "viewing traffic of course" and listening on a 9 volt pocket radio - never missed a play since they didn't cut off the radio. My dad had season tickets from the first year at Youle Field (phonetic guess there) and so the whole family was oriented to the team. I have some extreme memories of those early years and the players, when they were out of jail...;-) I even had the chore of escorting John Matusack and his wife home from an "incident" at the Alameda/Contra Costa border one afternoon. My kids are still at least pseudo fans though we don't follow closely anymore being scattered from Carson City to Eugene. Still hope they trade off Al Davis someday and get back on track.....Thanks for the memories - make a nice song, eh?...Bob Dodd
