15 year old Rachel Hopkins on local Fox News. A Kansas City
news crew featured her at the Memorial Day shoot held at Kansas Ciy
Trapshooters Association, Smithville Mo. First time in the history
of the Missouri State Shoot a female has won the Handicap Championship.
Story can be seen on MyFoxKC.com and search trapshooting competition and
cick on video link. Nice story on this young lady and the sport.

"...That's correct, Mr. reporter...this was my first ATA shoot ever...I'm just waiting for the Fall Shoot in Linn Creek...they tell me that's a doozy (wink, wink)..."

My nephew shot on the same squad as this young lady "phenom" shootist. Also on that same squad was an older gentleman, (Senior vet) I think my nephew said, broke a 98!! From his description it was quite an experience observing her winning ways with a shotgun! The entire squad shot good scores according to him, 99, 98 and my nephews 95, forgotten the other two shooters scores.

Congrats to this youngster for such fine shooting, WTG gurl! Look out this one down the road, shes here for the long haul! Hap

She managed to take home a whopping 9 trophies from the Missouri state shoot. Great shooting. She will be someone to watch for in the future. John

One of Kansas City Fox 4's video photographers is an ATA shooter. Randy Davis.

He might have had a hand in this report, I'd guess.

Randy Davis was running the camera. Rachel is a great shot and has beat everyone else before at KCTA at Smithville MO
