They are several different bills going to the Minnesota House.
They mirror closely the New York state law but in some ways is even
tougher. So called "assault" weapons will be banned. The owner will have
a window in time to get the guns and high cap magazines (more than 7 rounds) out the the state or turn them in to the authorities. Failure to do so is
a "felony". Five years in prison plus fines. Even a Ruger 10-22 will be
illegal. The Minnesota legislature is controlled by the Democrats and
with a Democratic Governor we are screwed. Thanks to all the Minnesota
trap shooters who voted for the Democrats. Obama will be here next
week to try and close the deal with the legislature.

It takes one legislator to introduce a bill. It takes a bunch to pass it. Just relax, Francis. It isn't happening in MN.

unfortunately this gun control crap is spreading faster than the flu.

Democratically controlled states are trying to out-do each other with this inbred horizontal logic about guns.

They are not getting mine either. I'll bury them in the ground along with the person that comes to get them. I'm not giving up Jack....

I think we have arrived at the "line in the sand"....if we haven't then we're in deep trouble. We'll be giving up everything the founders fought and died for. Not to mention the WWII vets sacrifices....so we wouldn't be speaking German among other things.

Stl Flyn – the bill introduced is H.F. No. 241. It was authored by Hausman (DFL), Hornstein (DFL), Simonson (DFL), Davnie (DFL), Slocum (DFL)

Sky Buster – I think your being a little bit of a hypocrite concerning your earlier comments to the Minnesota trapshooters, being you support a MN gun club on a weekly basis that throws a Democratic Fundraiser/Shoot on a yearly basis.

<blockqoute><I>"The owner will have a window in time to get the guns and high cap magazines (more than 7 rounds) out the the state or turn them in to the authorities."</i></blockquote>You missed the 4th option...register the guns to retain lawful ownership of them (Sec 6, Subdiv 5).

Registering is a good option? Never had to register for the other rights in our constitution.

The proposed MD law is just as Draconian. It is having a hearing on 2/6. MD Shooters and others have organized a rally and expect several thousand to show.
The MD Shooters website is being used to coordinated carpools and parking. The website was hacked and temporary shut down yesterday, and now Obummer is flying into Annapolis on the 6th.

Now that it seems that the Fed ban will not pass, they are ramping up the state attacks.
